At the Market – Ouando

In an attempt to communicate more regularly, I’m posting a picture a day of our time in Benin. I’m already three months behind. Better late than never.

The pictures will start with a wrap-up of our first months to get up to speed with our current timeline. I hope you enjoy seeing a bit of our lives in Benin.

At one of the bigger markets in Porto Novo, Jen buying a pineapple. Pineapples here are the juciest and sweetest I’ve ever had. They cost about 20 cents each and the vendor will peel, chop and bag it for free in about a minute. I average eating about one per day. The redish liquid in the water bottles at the left of the photo is palm oil. Those are sweet potatoes, oranges and tomatoes behind Jen.
