I work with OACP, Organization Afrique Culture Plus, a local tea cooperative. Made from a plant (above) that grows wild throughout central and southern Benin and known locally as Kinkeliba, generations have drunk homemade versions of this tea to treat malaria. OACP patented the product and sells the tea in pharmacies, supermarkets and health food boutiques. Unlike most teas, this tea is made from the plant’s seeds (below).
