Shopping for fabric makes my head spin sometimes as there are so many choices. There are seemingly endless designs and color combinations. Some of the fabrics are printed here in Benin while others are imported. Two of the biggest foreign producers of the fabrics are China and Holland. The Dutch fabrics are known for their quality and fetch the highest price. Beninoise usually where traditional style clothing made from these fabrics as opposed to western style clothing. Thus, a wardrobe addition starts here with purchasing the fabric before taking it to a tailor for a custom made outfit.
